Polyplumb Underfloor Heating – How It Works
posted by admin inHave you ever wondered how you could create a little bit of extra space in your home? Traditional heating often employs some rather big and rather unsightly radiators. Looking about me in the room, I can certainly see how the room would suddenly seem significantly larger if the radiators clinging to the walls were done away with! Deciding what to do with all that extra space could well be a very welcome problem to have and certainly allows for at least a few more options. If you are planning an overhaul to your interior design in general then the option of removing your radiators and trying a different style of heating may be worth considering. There are more than a few problems associated with traditional wall radiators. Decorating would certainly be one of them! Most thorough decorators would actually go to great lengths and remove the radiators before painting, but how often have you come to do a painting job only to realise that the paint behind the radiators is a completely different colour to the rest of the room? Itâs really not a good look! Losing heat can also be a problem with wall radiators. Very often they are situated either next to a window or right underneath it, where as soon as the heat rises, it heads for any gaps in the windows and runs for the hills! In the winter months, as energy prices rise and rise, this can prove more than a little frustrating. So, is there an alternative? Well, how about under floor heating? Itâs certainly not a new addition to the market but with technology quickly improving and prices becoming more competitive, it may be something to bear in mind, especially with a new project. Heat of course, is said to rise, so what better place to feel the heat coming from, than underneath you? There are a variety of different under floor heating systems, but perhaps one of the more popular ones is polyplumb under floor heating. This system can be installed to work in tandem with existing central heating. A network of piping under your flooring is fed and circulated water from your current boiler. This heating system is often called a âwet systemâ and is considered by many to be far more cost effective over a long period. Easy to install, especially for those with newer properties, its popularity is gaining momentum.
